Black Employee Network Presents Scholarships

This year the Black Employee Network developed a 2016 Black History Awareness Celebration (BHAC) Scholarship, and presented the financial awards to three high school seniors from Moss Point High School during the annual BHAC.
The students were chosen through an application process and were required to have a minimum 3.0 GPA, extracurricular activities, leadership and community involvement. The program also required a written essay discussing the impact their leadership has had on their community.
The three recipients are Shekinah Collier, Jalicia Hughes, and Tristan Bouler. The scholarships were presented by Paul Jones, who is a Chevron annuitant recognized refinery wide as an outstanding mentor, leader, and trailblazer during his years of service. First place winner Jalicia Hughes received a $2,000 award. The second and third place recipients, Tristan Bouler and Shekinah Collier, received $500 each.
