Chevron 5k to benefit animal shelter

The Chevron Women’s Network will holds its 13th annual Charity Run bright and early Saturday morning in Pascagoula.

Proceeds from the June 10 run will go to benefit the Friends of the Jackson County Animal Shelter, which was nominated by Women’s Network members.

Last year’s run had 129 runners, and they are expecting an even better turnout this year.

“It’s a worthy cause and a great family event,” said Anna Mayfield with the Women’s Network. “Bring the kids out for the 1-mile fun run.  This annual charity run is one way we give back to the community.”
