Morgan Freeman is bringing the second edition of his Ground Zero Blues Club to the Mississippi Gulf Coast.

According to a recent Facebook post, Ground Zero will be opening in the historic Kress Building, which was formerly Kress Live.

Freeman, alongside attorney Bill Luckett, opened the original Ground Zero Blues Club in Clarksdale in 2001. Known as “Ground Zero” for blues fans, Clarksdale is home to the Crossroads where Robert Johnson supposedly traded his soul to the devil for the ability to play the blues.

No timeline has been released yet on the construction of Ground Zero Blues Club Biloxi, but it should be a good fit as Biloxi’s Main Street has a long blues history.
