MDOT Hosts STEM Workshop for Mississippi Teachers

The Mississippi Department of Education (MDOT) hosted its annual Transportation and Civil Engineering (TRAC) workshop at the Moss Point Career & Technical Education Center in Moss Point, MS. Teachers from across the state of Mississippi were in attendance.

TRAC is MDOT’s educational outreach program that is designed for use in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM) classes. The hands-on activities introduce students in grades 7-12 to the work world of transportation and civil engineering, and inspire them to consider careers in those fields. Upon completion of the workshop, teachers earn CEUs and are provided with free resources to take back to their classrooms.
