AACC’s 2020 Awards of Excellence: MGCCC named finalist out of nation’s nearly 1,2000 community colleges

The American Association of Community Colleges (AACC) has announced that Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College is a finalist for the Association’s 2020 Awards of Excellence, which recognize exceptional work among the nation’s nearly 1,200 two-year colleges. MGCCC was one of four colleges selected as finalists in the Community College Safety Planning and Leadership category.

There are five categories and 20 colleges named as finalists. Gulf Coast is the only college in Mississippi and its bordering states selected as a finalist.

The winners of each category will be announced at the AACC annual convention to be held March 28-30 in National Harbor, Maryland.
