Bel-Aire Elementary Going Gold for Childhood Cancer Awareness

The attached photo shows Austin, his sister, his grandmother, and the school principal when Austin was recognized as a Star Student and received his 6th grade completion certificate in May of 2019

In memory of a former student, Bel-Aire Elementary in Gulfport will be Going Gold this Friday.

Honoring Austin Guidry, who passed away from cancer last year, all students, teachers, and staff will be wearing gold ribbons.

Students will also be coloring and creating artwork in recognition of Childhood Cancer Awareness. Austin’s mother will also speak to the class, followed by an outdoor ceremony in Austin’s honor.
